SAL BUENO

Sal Bueno is a company specialized in the manufacture and distribution of salts for food and industry, with a history of 75 years consolidated through several generations. We keep moving forward to adapt to the needs of the market, expanding our facilities with new manufacturing and packaging systems in order to meet the needs of our customers. The beginnings of Sal Bueno began with the help of Mr. Mariano Bueno Ruíz in 1937 when he settled permanently in a store on Pérez Galdós street in Valencia, where salt and animal feed constituted his main activity. Prior to this date, his father-in-law, D. José Oltra, already counted in 1922 between his food distribution with salt. Mr. Mariano Bueno went every day to the port of Valencia, waiting for the large barges that unloaded salt from the salt pans of San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia), owned by the company Salinera Española. After loading it in his car, he undertook the daily distribution. The workday began at the dawn of the day and ended at nightfall, or as Mr. Bueno liked to say.

The company was founded in 1937 by Mariano Bueno Ruíz in Valencia, initially focusing on the sale of salt and animal feed. Over the decades, the company grew and moved to larger facilities, incorporating modern machinery and expanding its fleet of vehicles. In 1989, its name was changed to Sal Bueno, SL, and in 2001, it was majority-owned by Salinera Española, maintaining family management. It currently continues to operate under the direction of the founding family.

It offers a wide range of food salts (such as fine sea salt, coarse sea salt, iodized sea salt, fleur de sel, Himalayan salt, and low-sodium salt), industrial salts (for animal feed, detergents, and leather tanning), and water treatment products (compacted salts for water softeners and alkalinity regulators for swimming pools). Highlights include anchovy-type sea salt, Himalayan salt, sea salt flakes, compacted salt for water softeners, and pool and spa salts.
