History
The history of Bodegas Barahonda dates back to 1850, when Pedro Candela Soriano began producing and selling wine locally in Yecla. In 1925, his son Antonio Candela García founded a small winery, laying the foundation for the company. The third generation, led by Antonio Candela Poveda, drove the winery's growth and modernization. In 2006, the fourth generation, represented by Antonio and Alfredo Candela, founded Bodegas Barahonda with a focus on winemaking excellence. In 2025, the company celebrates its centenary, highlighting family continuity and innovation.

It also offers organic, vegan, and varietal wines. The company also has an award-winning restaurant and wine tourism activities.
