History
The company was founded in 1847 in Martos de Jaén, Andalusia, where it began distilling spirits. The founding family later emigrated to Cuba and dedicated itself to the production of traditional Cuban spirits. After the Cuban War in 1898, they returned to Spain and settled in Madrid, focusing on spirits, aniseed, brandy, and cazallas. In 1965, the company modernized its production, moving into bottling and national distribution, and ventured into the wine industry. In 1980, it moved its factory to Arganda del Rey, and in the 1990s to Casarrubios del Monte, Toledo, investing in new technologies and expanding its presence in the Spanish mass market.
