Torre de Núñez began its journey more than 50 years ago, when its founder Manuel José Núñez Aldegunde and Maria Asunción Torre Penelas began distributing their processed meat to all corners of the Spanish geography making them reach the most demanding tables. The good reception of our products, our knowledge of the sector and the taste of the consumer, means that in the 80s we ventured into an expansion process that began with the construction of our first factory outside of Lugo, a city that saw us be born. Since our effort to consolidate ourselves in the market and offer a product with the best quality is rewarded by the great acceptance of the final consumer, in the year 2000 we created a new 15,000 m² plant equipped with the latest technology for the production of meat products. In 2012, a new plant dedicated exclusively to the production of ham with a capacity of 400,000 units per year came into operation, thus being able to respond to the growing demand of the market. With the aim of adapting to the new needs of the consumer, in 2016 we inaugurated 2,500 m2 integrated in a new plant dedicated to the slicing that gives us a productive capacity of 8 million trays of ham and sausage. Currently, our desire to improve and satisfy the consumer means that we continue with our process of improvement, expansion and consolidation in the national market and that we work to bring Torre de Núñez products beyond Spanish borders in all the formats demanded by the company. market. For this reason, we will inaugurate, at the beginning of 2016, our new slicing plant.


History
Torre de Núñez has over 50 years of experience in the production of meat products. It was founded in Lugo by Manuel José Núñez Aldegunde and María Asunción Torre Penelas, who initially distributed their products throughout Spain. In the 1980s, the company began a process of expansion with the construction of its first factory. A 15,000 m² plant was built in 2000, followed by a plant exclusively for ham, and later a slicing plant opened in 2016 and expanded in 2019. Currently, the company is established in the domestic market and exports to more than 25 countries.


Product types
The company offers a wide range of meat products, including Serrano ham, cured meats (such as chorizo and loin), cooked and sliced meats, ham, and bacon. It also sells batches and special products for celiacs and those with lactose intolerance.


Mission
Torre de Núñez's mission is to meet the needs of end consumers through a variety of ham and cured meat products and formats, based on an optimal quality-price ratio. Its vision is to be the leading Galician brand in the ham and cured meat sector, both domestically and internationally.
