Starting from a modest and therefore solid project, in 1998 the Colonias de Galeón, SL began, with the sole aim of accompanying those who want to demonstrate that red and white wines can be made in Andalusia. line with the latest trends. For this they have located the vineyard in Cazalla de la Sierra in the heart of the Natural Park of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla, a region that during the XV, XVI and XVII centuries, was the main exporter of wine to America.
The chosen payment has been Colonies of Galeón, since it hoards the requirements with that to lay the bases for the obtaining of a wine of quality: slopes, little fertile ground, (slaty, calizo ...), 700 m. of altitude, strong thermal oscillation between day and night, sun, enough rainfall ... In this area, upholstered with cistus, broom, lavender, thyme, oregano, blackberry among holm oaks, cork and fig trees, have planted varieties noble as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Chardonnay.
