The García Palazón family began in agriculture with Atilano García at the beginning of the 20th century. His love and dedication to the agricultural world made his sons José Vicente and Antonio García give continuity to his father's devotion. After many years of searching to give life to a dream, they find Finca El Moralejo, a farm that for centuries has revolved around viticulture. Where its greatest potential lies in the altitude, since it reaches 1,050 meters above sea level, in a unique enclave surrounded by nature. If something was clear is that all this had to happen in a vineyard high, where the freshness of the summers and thermal contrast between day and night. They would bring the unique character that can be recognized today in all Balmoral wines and sparkling wines. Without losing sight of the fact that altitude will always favor us, since global warming is a very present factor, which over the years plans to change the global landscape of the sector. It is a fact that what the family did in their day is now a trend, ahead of the times, and that every day more cases are seen in the different media, from famous producers acquiring high altitude vineyards in search of freshness. All this was a revolution in its day, as it meant turning our backs on the accepted rules, championing the challenge of elaborating at the level of demand of the best Champagne houses, in a peculiar area, but because of its altitude, everything indicated that the chosen path was the right one. It was then that Jose Vicente and Antonio began a fruitful collaboration with Hervé Jestin, a famous winemaker born in Eperney, France, with experience in large Champagne houses. Nowadays, nobody can deny the potential of Bodegas Balmoral's vineyards, since its wines and sparkling wines have managed to gain a foothold in the more than 25 countries in which it sells, in addition to the numerous recognitions that it accumulates rewarding the effort and knowing do. All this is the result of the values ​​that the winery will champion, such as respect for the environment, using ecological treatments in the vineyard, the pursuit of perfection with a high level of demand, and especially with the unconditional work of the family that dedicates all your time and effort to the growth and improvement of the winery.


History
The winery dates back to the early 20th century with the García Palazón family, who began farming with Atilano García. Later, their sons, José Vicente and Antonio García, continued the tradition, settling on the El Moralejo estate, a high-altitude location favorable for viticulture. The collaboration with winemaker Hervé Jestin marked a turning point in the production of high-quality wines and sparkling wines. Viñedos Balmoral currently markets its products in more than 30 countries and has received various awards, including the award for best winery in Spain in 2018.


Product types
The company offers a wide range of wines and sparkling wines, featuring several collections: Edoné (sparkling wines), Maravides (red, white, and rosé wines), Splendis, Milberit, and Atilano García. Highlights include Edoné Gran Cuvée, Edoné Rosé Gran Cuvée, Maravides 12 meses, Maravides Chardonnay, Maravides Cabernet Sauvignon, and several special packs. All wines are made from varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Macabeo, Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
