History
The idea for 5 Hormigas was born in 2015, when a group of like-minded friends decided to join forces to create a project based on traditional agriculture and respect for the vine and grape. In 2020, they acquired Finca Gavilanes in Jumilla, consolidating their presence in the region and expanding their project to include unique plots.
Product types
The company produces single-vineyard wines in three winemaking areas in the Region of Murcia: Yecla, Mula, and Jumilla. Its wines include 'Tocando el Suelo,' 'Alcaraván,' 'Kiu,' and 'Premonición,' each produced in specific plots and using processes that seek to highlight the typical characteristics of the surroundings.
Mission
The company's fundamental purpose is to produce wines that respect the essence of the raw materials and faithfully reflect the space, landscape, and vineyards of origin, using simple and straightforward winemaking processes. In the long term, they seek to consolidate their project in the Mediterranean ecosystem, developing unique and authentic wines.
