Aldonia

Activity
Bodegas Aldonia emerged in 2006, developers, after years of experience, we decided to create our own brand of wine, to provide our way of understanding it: quality wines, based on the vineyard rather than the process, at reasonable prices, and with a personal style and adapted to our times.

History
The winery dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when the current owners' great-grandfather began planting vineyards and making wine using French techniques introduced to the region after the arrival of phylloxera in France. Despite difficulties such as phylloxera in La Rioja and the Spanish Civil War, the family continued the winemaking business. In 2006, the fourth generation took over and founded Bodegas Aldonia as their own project, maintaining the family tradition and adapting their vision to modern times.

Product types
The company produces red wines primarily from Garnacha, although it also produces Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano for reds, and Viura, Malvasía, and Calagraño for whites. Highlights include Aldonia Vendimia 2022, Aldonia 2021, and Aldonia 100 2021. Its wines do not follow the traditional classification of Crianza, Reserva, or Gran Reserva, but are produced as generic wines, adapting the aging process to each vintage.

Mission
The company's fundamental purpose is to provide the utmost respect and care for the vineyard, producing wines that express the terroir with minimal intervention and maintaining a close commitment to its customers. Its long-term goal is to combine tradition and innovation to offer quality wines that reflect the essence of La Rioja and the family's vision.
