CLUB BASQUET GIRONA 2014

Bàsquet Girona is dedicated to the promotion and development of basketball in the city of Girona, managing men's and women's teams of different categories, as well as social and environmental projects linked to sports.

The club was founded in the 2014-15 season with the aim of being a social entity that fosters a kinder and more environmentally friendly society. Initially, it had five teams and expanded its base in subsequent years. In 2017-18, the men's first team debuted in the EBA league, gradually rising until reaching the top national division, the ACB, in 2022. In 2021, the wheelchair basketball team was added, and in 2022, the Spar Girona women's team was incorporated, consolidating the joint project and expanding the player base.

The company offers men's and women's basketball teams in various categories, youth sports camps, a wheelchair basketball team, educational and social activities, as well as an official store with equipment, casual wear, accessories, and sustainable fashion products (BeGreat). Highlights include official equipment, the BG-BeGreat sustainable fashion line, and sports campuses.

The fundamental purpose of Bàsquet Girona is to use basketball as a tool for social transformation, promoting values such as commitment, effort, sustainability, and social responsibility. The long-term vision is to establish itself as a benchmark in sports and in the promotion of healthy habits, equality, fraternity, and respect for the environment, actively involving the community in building a sustainable future.
