Conthidra was founded in 1999 to manufacture water meters in Spain, continuing a manufacturing tradition dating back to 1915. It is part of the JANZ Group, founded in Portugal in 1915, which has evolved from manufacturing water and electricity meters to international exports and obtaining quality certifications. In 2020, the Italian SIT Group acquired Janz to expand into the water sector. The company has undergone constant technological updating and has a self-sufficient factory in Lisbon.

The company offers domestic, medium- and large-scale water meters, electromagnetic meters, valves, centralized meter batteries, hydraulic accessories, cost allocators, management software, remote reading systems, and auxiliary products such as meter cabinets and manholes. Highlights include the M2000 and M5000 electromagnetic meters, the ARROW EVO and KEGUS EVO ranges, and galvanized and stainless steel batteries.
