Estuchados Villanueva was founded after the acquisition of Mendaña y Blanco, a company that had been involved in sugar packaging since 1970. In 1990, it was acquired by Jesús Villanueva Rivas, and in 1996, its headquarters moved from Pontevedra to Leiro, Ourense. Currently, in addition to operating in Spain and Portugal, it manufactures for other European countries such as France, Switzerland, and Belgium.

It offers products such as white sugar, Dulkoline sweetener, Dolcenatur stevia, and whole cane brown sugar.
