Can Pujol was born from the illusion of a person, Josep. The fact of having grown up in a rural house marked him deeply, wanting to live, in, and in the countryside. The principles are full of anecdotes. The first was the trip in a utility without any guarantee of being able to successfully travel the "chilling" distance of 650 km between Josep and his first four goats, that the way back were occu ...pants of that vehicle. Formatges Can Pujol started its activity in 1980 is a very small cheese factory. The first cheeses that we elaborated were of immediate consumption: Fresh cheeses, mató, curd and we expanded as the market was increasingly more receptive to our products. At the beginning of the year 1990 we moved to another place a little wider, in which we stayed for seven years. It was then that the idea of ??making a ripened cheese arose. We set ourselves certain conditions, among which should be the highest quality and originality. Thus was born in 1991 the "Nevat" that as time is certifying us, has fulfilled the established premises. A cheese that combines a careful cheesemaking technique and a totally handmade, being "molded" manually piece by piece. We are currently in facilities of 400 m2 that meet all the sanitary requirements, making us work more pleasant and also achieving better results. The milk used is analyzed daily, to ensure maximum quality. Today, after more than thirty years, FORMATGES CAN PUJOL has become a company that is present in the main distribution points of Catalonia and Spain and exports to various countries, where it has won several awards and is recognized for its quality .
