GOMEZ RODRIGUEZ, ANJHARA

Castanae is an artisan pastry oven, managed by Anjhara Gómez Rodríguez, based on the preparation of sweets and cakes of their own creation and original, manufactured with minimal mechanical involvement to respect the traditional production processes, the times of the masses and without preservatives nor dyes of any kind, since the maximum of this project is the production of natural products with an excellent quality. The soul of Castanae is found in the countryside, and in the use of our rich natural resources, in conjunction with nature and with respect for it, because the oven where the delights that we present are born is a traditional building that was originally destined to the production of bread in a wood-fired oven for domestic consumption that dates back to the 1930s (20th century) and which, according to the Castanae company philosophy, has been rehabilitated and now constitutes the workshop where all our products are made with the highest careful, located in the Town Hall of O Corgo, province of Lugo, in San Fiz de Paradela, Vilanova nº 18.

The production of their products follows a recipe that has been passed down from mother to daughter for several generations in the family.

It offers artisanal baked goods, highlighting the bica mantecada and Anjhara polvorones, both handmade, without preservatives or colorings, and with its own recipes.

The fundamental objective is to produce quality baked goods, respecting traditional methods and using natural ingredients.
