Founded in 1857 in Asturias, it began producing flour and chocolate. In 1927, it expanded its operations to include cider, wine, and fruit preserves. After several changes of address, its headquarters are currently located in Porceyo, Gijón.

It offers a wide range of food and beverage products, including wines, spirits, preserves, cured meats, cider, prepared dishes, oils, vinegars, jams, and sweets. Highlights include cider, wines from various designations of origin, Iberian cured meats (such as ham and chorizo), typical Asturian prepared dishes, and El Gaitero brand products.
