History
The winery was founded in 1905 by brothers José, Julián, and Emilio Pérez Barquero. In 1955, the fiftieth anniversary was commemorated with the 1955 Solera. In 1985, the Córdoba, Ruz, and Gracia families took over the legacy, promoting the brand. In the 1980s and 1990s, the winery's export focus intensified, and its products are currently present in 56 countries. In 2016 and 2024, some of its wines earned 100 Parker points.
Product types
The company offers wines (finos, amontillados, olorosos, palo cortado, sweet Pedro Ximénez, and young whites), brandies (such as Brandy Monte Cristo Gran Reserva), rums (Ron Monte Cristo Gran Añejo, Ron Barquero), vinegars (Vinagre Gran Reserva Solera, Vinagre Gran Reserva al Pedro Ximénez), and vermouths (Vermouth Barquero). Notable wines include the Amontillado 1905 Solera Fundacional and the Gran Barquero range.
