Activity
MANUFACTURE SINCE 1935 OF FOOD PRODUCTS FROM DRY FRUITS
History
The company dates back to the early 20th century in Reus, when Salvador Vallverdú began his career as a pharmacist and founded Laboratorios Klam in 1920. In 1932, the first almond cream, "Almendrina," was patented and marketed in 1935. The Spanish Civil War and the postwar period severely affected the company, but in 1942, the founder's son took over and relaunched production. Over the decades, the company grew, moved to new facilities, and diversified its products. In 2012, the third generation of the family took over, driving innovation. In 2019, Almendrina was integrated into the Torrons Vicens group.
Product types
The company primarily offers almond butters, hazelnut butters, and plant-based beverages such as almond milk, almond and oat milk, and almond and rice milk. Among its most notable products are the Almendrina almond butter and plant-based beverages with no added sugar.
Mission
The company seeks to offer high-quality plant-based foods, without unnecessary additives, combining tradition and innovation to provide healthy and natural products.
