The company was founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre in Jerez de la Frontera. For more than two centuries, it has remained in the hands of Jerez owners and maintained its independence. In 1887, the fourth generation created Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva brandy. The company has been a supplier to the House of Lords of the United Kingdom and the Vatican, and currently exports its products to five continents, combining tradition and modernization in its processes.

It offers a wide range of sherry wines (such as Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Palo Cortado, Pedro Ximénez, Moscatel), wines from other denominations (Ribera del Duero, Rueda), brandies (Cardenal Mendoza, Solera Gran Reserva), rum (Ron Ingenio Manacas), gins (Fifty Pounds Gin, Barber's Gin), whisky (Whisky Abducted), and sherry vinegars.
