SEMIN is a family-owned French industrial company specializing in the manufacture of construction materials for the building sector, with a primary focus on producing solutions for cladding, insulation, flooring, and interior finishes.
History
The company was founded in 1838 by Jean-Baptiste Laurent Semin, initially dedicated to the manufacture of plaster. In 1980, Philippe Semin took over management of the company, which at the time had only seven employees. In 1998, a second production facility was opened near Perpignan to serve the Southern European and Maghreb markets. In 2008, in response to growing demand, a third factory and training center were opened in the Paris region. In 2017, Caroline Semin took over as CEO. By 2022, SEMIN was present in 72 countries, with 40% of its turnover coming from the international market.
Product types
SEMIN offers a wide range of construction products, including plasters and pastes for tile and insulation, adhesives, mortars, manhole covers, accessories for partition and ceiling installation, metal structures, waterproofing products, tools, paints, flooring solutions (tile adhesives, grouts, and levelers), and a line of eco-friendly insulation products such as Bref, Style, and Doug. Featured products include eco-friendly insulation products, the Polaire range of paints, and machineable fillers for airless application.
