Wine is made in the earth, wine is made by the vine ... These are two metaphors that have become the great philosophical principles that govern our vitivinicultural practice. In a privileged situation, in the valleys of the Miño, and equidistant from Vigo and Ourense to 30 kilometers, Adegas Valtea sits in an area with a special microclimate that makes the grapes reach the degree of maturity necessary for the preparation of wines whose quality does not generate doubt.

Bodegas Valtea is a family project run by Carla González Chao and Lázaro Moreno Carrera, whose ancestors have been involved in the world of wine for several generations, both in Galicia and the Douro region of Portugal. In the 1990s, they sought suitable land to produce distinctive Albariños with a distinct personality, settling on a low-yield but high-quality estate where vines have been cultivated since ancient times.

The company primarily offers Albariño wines, both white and sparkling, and liqueurs. Highlights include Valtea Albariño, Valtea Brut Nature Cuvée Especial Sparkling Wine, Valtea Finca Garabato, Valtea Cuvée Especial “Lías,” and Valtea Liqueurs.

The company's philosophy is based on the idea that wine is made in the soil and by the vine, guiding its winemaking practices toward the production of quality wines from the selection of the finest bunches of Albariño grapes.
